Grafalloy Axis (4811 views/week)

Fiber oriented along multiple axes promotes improved shaft “hoop” stiffness and flex consistency at each point along the shaft

Improved hoop stiffness insures maximum integrity of shaft response during the downswing

A multi-directional pre-preg (weave) is the standard method of achieving this

performance benefit

This is an inferior method of achieving hoop consistency because as carbon fibers move as little as 10° off their intended axis their strength properties are reduced by as much as 40%

Smart-Ply™ technology preserves 100% of the carbon fiber properties by incorporating only unidirectional, low FAW, high-modulus fiber.

These unidirectional fibers are then strategically placed in multiple axes along the full length of the shaft resulting in unequalled design consistency and material integrity / performance.

Grafalloy’s proprietary System 9 design model computes over 40,000 calculations per shaft ensuring unparalleled accuracy in material placement and lay-up.

Smart-Ply™ technology positions the unidirectional carbon fiber in Grafalloy Axis along 6 separate axes…over twice as many shaft axes when compared to other designs.

Jon Lesage Review

I have been playing golf for over 15 years now. Over those years I’ve tried so many different shaft and head combinations it’s ridicules! About 5 years ago when the Grafalloy Blue was introduced I started playing it. That was my favorite up till now! The Axis is by far the most stable, best feeling shaft I’ve ever played! I have tried the other high dollar shafts (Diamana, Speeder) and not found a difference worth spending that kind of money on. The Axis is worth every penny! It is long of the tee. It might be a few yards longer than the Blue. I was hoping for an extra 20 yards but I was dreaming. The tight shot dispersion now is incredible! So the bottom line is, if your gona spend over $250 for a shaft, get the Axis and you won’t be disappointed!
