Taylormade R11 TP Driver (25008 views/week)

The TaylorMade R11 TP Driver is the latest and greatest from the makers of the No.1 driver in golf. It has new technology, like an adjustable sole that can adjust the face angle of the club, as well as the ability to adjust the launch angle, making it a truly adjustable driver. The power and consistency the R11 brings will improve your game and the sleek white finish will make you the center of attention on the course and in the clubhouse. The "TP" version has a lower center of gravity and is for the more experienced player.

Additional Features:

  • Grip: TaylorMade 360
  • Shaft: Fujikura Blur TP 65
  • Adjust the loft with Flight Control Technology (FCT)
  • Adjust the face angle with the new Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP)
  • Adjust the center of gravity location with Movable Weight Technology (MWT)
  • Lofts: 9.5 • 10.5°
  • Lie Angle: 57°
  • Head Size: 440cc
  • Length: 45.75"

I used this driver once and loved it. the one that I hit was nice it was a little lighter than my g10. I hit this club pretty far. the feel to it was great. I would definitely recommend this driver.

R.P. JACOBS II Review

Please excuse the side bar info in my review. I mistakenly listed the specs of my current driver instead of the R11TP that I tested. The correct info is listed with this comment. Sorry, my greatest handicap is not my golf game, it's my mind.....Keep it in the short hair...........

R.P. JACOBS II Review

This is a solid driver, nothing more. On a star system I would give it a 4. The performance, @ least for me, did not come close to all the hype. It's greatest feature, obviously, is it's adjustability. Although I hit it as it was off the shelf, I have no doubt that it can be adjusted to compensate for most swings & ball flights, if one wanted their correction to come from the club instead of their swing. Quick, easy, instant gratification. As listed I play the 9064LS w/DFS(adjustable), w/the RIP Gamma XS. The R11TP was fitted with the Fujikura Blur S shaft, which would not be my shaft of choice. One nice benefit of the TP version is your wide choice of shafts. Take advantage of this opportunity, because there some very nice choices. I found the R11TP very cooperative in working the ball both left & right, without any adjusting. Very smooth. The trajectory was slightly higher than I like to play it, though I attribute this to the shaft. Where the R11 disappointed me was in the area of distance. Again, the shaft I hit had something to do with that, though I immediately hit the 9064, & I was 10-15 yards past the TP. The ball coming off the face of the R11TP gave a muted, "soft" sound, versus the Adams, which has a sharp "crack," like a shot. I would think that this would be a nice club for someone looking for the advatanges that the adjustability features give you, & though many tour pros play this club, I think that this would be a great club for mid-high handicappers. The distance is satisfactory though the adjustability & forgiveness are excellent. I intentionally hit both toe & heel shots, & was pleasently surprised that shots hit towards the heel, normally a dead spot on most drivers(including the 9064LS), while obviously losing distance, got much better distance than most other drivers, though I have not hit many of the newest '11 drivers(Callaway, Nike, Titleist). The color was a non-issue, though the flat matte white is easier on the eyes than a lacquered, shiny white would be. Overall, a nice driver, though when the biggest talking point on a club is it's color, that should tell you something!...Greens & Fairways 4ever.........

The white face did not bother me as much as i thought. Control was fine, not much to complain about. Distance was lacking on the course when comparing similar shots. Sound/Noise was a bit mute but fine regardless. I was not overly impressed but satisfied. Hype more than the results
